Brief introduction of mining engineering specialty in Henan Polytechnic University

Training objectives: This major trains senior engineering and technical personnel who have the basic ability of mining engineers and can engage in mining area development planning, mine (open-pit and underground) design, mine safety technology and engineering design, production technology management supervision and scientific research in the mining field.

Training requirements: Students in this major mainly study the basic theories and technologies of rock mass engineering mechanics, mining, mine safety and engineering, receive the training of mining engineers, and have the basic abilities of mining area planning, mining design, rock stratum control technology, mine safety technology and engineering design.

Graduates should have the following knowledge and abilities:

1. Master the basic theory and knowledge of mining discipline;

2. Master the design methods of mining area development, mine mining and roadway development;

3 master the mine pressure and rock mass engineering monitoring, mine ventilation and safety, mine safety and mine disaster prevention and control technology;

4. Have advanced production organization and technical management basic capabilities, as well as preliminary research and development capabilities of new processes and technologies;

5 familiar with the basic principles, policies and regulations of the state on mining;
