Radish Village is located in Yanmen Township, Wenchuan County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Exploring in the Minshan Mountains, this small village has a long history. Three or four thousand years ago, humans lived here. This small village has been renamed four times in the long history.
Radish Village is located between Fengshan and Huangshan Mountain. The architectural form of the whole Luozi Village looks like a phoenix spreading its wings. The whole village is a pure gathering place for Qiang people, and there are complicated streets in the village. Huangni Village, which is connected by these streets, is very famous. It is not only the living quarters and markets of the ancient Qiang people, but also a strong fortress against the enemy. In the central area, every household is connected together and can go directly to the roof. Most houses in the village are two or three stories high. Above the door of the house, there are figures in the shape of the sun and white stones. Worship of white stone is a local national custom, and Americans often pray to it devoutly.
There are many legends about the name of Radish Village. There is a legend that the ancient Qiang people fought with the local aborigines on their way south, and many people were injured. Coupled with the acclimatization, the disease continues to spread, and it is difficult to cure them by seeking medical treatment everywhere. Later, some Qiang people came here when they went up the mountain to collect medicine. They found that the mountains and plains were covered with plants such as ginseng and radish, so they took them back as wild vegetables to satisfy their hunger. Unexpectedly, the wounded and sick people not only felt delicious and sweet after eating it, but also felt particularly painful, hence the name luo? Village.
Wang Dayu Temple is also a famous building here, built on a huge stone. Because the white stone used by people who come to pray for blessings is mostly hung on the "holy tree" here, a magnificent "White Stone Pagoda" has been formed over time.
Qiang culture has a long history, and architecture, costumes and folk art all show this unique style. Among them, Qiang embroidery is very famous, and its pictures are very vivid and widely used. Flowers, plants, insects, fish and life scenes are all in sight. The traditional costumes of the Qiang nationality are very distinctive. Men and women wear long cloth shirts, Baotou handkerchiefs and leggings. Women's dresses are particularly gorgeous. The neckline, cuffs and skirts are embroidered with lace, and the waist is tied with patterned apron or ribbon, which is very beautiful. The "Yun Yun shoes" worn by women are very distinctive, with slightly upturned toes and moire embroidery.
Great changes have taken place in Luoluo village after Wenchuan earthquake. Now the whole radish village is divided into old and new villages, most of which were newly built after the earthquake. After the earthquake, the old village was transformed into various styles of inns for tourist reception, and many families in the new village were also transformed into farmhouses to provide catering and accommodation services.
The tone of the whole stockade is relatively unified. Against the blue sky, white clouds and green hills, khaki houses stand out. After the tourist craze, the Qiang customs here are still very strong, giving people a feeling of paradise.
