Is there anything particular about the choice of lamps in the hotel lobby?
There are many exquisite choices for hotel lobby lights. To sum up, there are four principles to pay attention to:

1, flexibility:

The light source used in the lobby of a general star-rated hotel has a service life of about 2,000 to 4,000 hours. Therefore, in 10 years, lamps and lanterns will need to replace the light source many times. There are more than 10,000 lamps in the lobby, so replacing the light source also involves huge human resources, so the flexibility of lamps is another consideration. The most ideal choice of lamps is that the light source can be assembled and disassembled without affecting the fixed (positioning) parts of lamps. This can not only save the replacement time, but also actively protect the interior decoration.

2. Timeliness: Persistence

Generally, the lighting of star-rated lobby projects will be renovated once every five years and once every ten years. In other words, the life of lamps in Mingpu lobby should be at least ten years, so as to meet the requirements of star hotel lobby. Because ordinary minor repairs will not replace lamps and lanterns, the scope of human resources involved is too large. This means that in the selection of lamps, the quality of the most heated and compressed parts of lamps, including reflective cup cover, heat dissipation components and fixed (positioning) components, is very important.

3. Light projection index:

Cut-off angle, glare effect, how to collect light sources, flexibility of light projection direction, expansibility of accessories, etc. All affect the choice of lamps. Especially, the expandability of accessories should be considered very carefully, because most accessories such as Projection Angle, Color/Tone Correction, Anti-glare and Precise Projection/Lighting which control the projection index rely on these accessories to create the overall atmosphere.

4. Detail modeling:?

This includes all aspects of the lamp itself. Take the general ceiling downlight as an example. After installing the ceiling, attention should be paid to the details such as the spraying quality of the decorative edge (if it is metal, what is the surface quality), the smoothness of the reflective cup (if it is frosted reflective cup, the uniformity of sandblasting), and the joint tightness with the ceiling surface (gypsum board/veneer) (whether there is light leakage). One more thing, I need to mention by the way, in addition to hardware (lamps), the installer (technology) is also very important, and the decoration should ensure that lamps are installed in the correct installation method.
