The best places to see the sunrise in Huangshan Mountain are Beihai and Guangmingding. Lion Forest Hotel is in Beihai, which is very close to the sunrise. It's a few minutes' walk and the road is very flat. Xihai Villa is in the West Sea, far away from Beihai and Guangmingding. There is a baiyun hotel under the Guangmingding, but watching the sunrise from the Guangmingding requires climbing a mountain road, and it is far away from the place where the cable car takes place. Compared with Xihai Mountain Villa and baiyun hotel, Shilin Hotel is closer to the cable car, but five or six minutes is definitely not enough. It may take more than half an hour. This is a mountain road. I suggest you take a cable car from Yungu Temple at the foot of the mountain, go directly to Baieling on the mountain, and then go to Beihai.
