According to the regulations of the US Department of Transportation, if the first carrier of your flight is not Singapore Airlines, the baggage policy of that carrier may apply to the whole trip.

According to the origin or destination in the United States, the baggage policy may be different:

If your first flight is a Singapore Airlines flight from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), or an American Airlines flight with Singapore Airlines flight number, then Singapore Airlines' baggage policy will apply to the whole trip.

If your maiden flight takes off from other cities in the United States, or the maiden flight does not have the flight number of Singapore Airlines, the baggage policy of the maiden flight carrier will apply to the whole trip (according to the regulations of the US Department of Transportation).

If your destination is an American city and the first flight doesn't have the flight number of Singapore Airlines, then the baggage policy of the first carrier applies to the whole trip (according to the regulations of the US Department of Transportation).

If other airlines' baggage policies apply to your flight, you can only purchase additional baggage allowance from that airline. For details, please refer to the relevant websites of Singapore Airlines partner airlines.

If you fly with more than one airline, your baggage restrictions will be different for one-way tickets, continuous tickets and individual tickets.

If the tickets booked in your itinerary are different, the baggage restrictions printed on each ticket apply to the current itinerary.

If you book a one-way ticket, please refer to the following information.

If you fly with multiple airlines, you need to know the following two terms:

"Selling airline" refers to the airline that sells air tickets.

"The most important selling airline" refers to the airline with the longest or most important journey represented by the code displayed on the ticket.

When traveling to and from the United States

The first airline to sell will decide the baggage policy for the whole trip. The first selling airline can choose to apply the most important selling airline's baggage policy or its own baggage policy during the trip.

For example, airline X is the first airline to sell the following trips:

Washington (airline x)->; San Francisco (SQ)-& gt;; the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR)

In addition, Singapore Airlines (SQ) is the most important sales airline in this trip.

As the first airline to sell, X Airlines can decide whether to apply its own baggage allowance or Singapore Airlines' baggage allowance on this trip.

If you have any questions, please refer to the free baggage allowance for each flight indicated on your ticket.

When you fly to and from any place in the world.

At this time, the baggage allowance of the most important selling airline applies. For a trip that includes a stopover, the most important sales airline may change after the stopover point.

Example 1

The following itinerary includes two of the most important sales airlines:

Singapore (SG)->; Bangkok (stopover; Airline a)-> Copenhagen (no stopover; Airline b)-gt; Stockholm

From Singapore to Bangkok, the main selling airline is Singapore Airlines. But from Bangkok to Stockholm, Airline A covers the longest journey and is the most important sales airline for this journey.

For flights from Singapore to Bangkok, Singapore Airlines baggage restrictions apply; However, for flights from Bangkok to Stockholm, the baggage restrictions of A Airlines apply.

Example 2

Singapore Airlines is the most important sales airline for this trip, because this trip does not include stopovers:

Canberra (airline P)-> Brisbane (no stopover; Airline q)-> Singapore (no stopover; SQ)-& gt; London

Throughout the journey from Canberra to London, Singapore Airlines baggage restrictions apply.
