Part 1 Major Deaths: Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore: Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Died on the Astronomy Tower from Snape's Avada Sorcery spell. Professor Severus Snape: Potions teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (Ha1~Ha5), Ha6 is the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, the most loyal undercover agent in the entire series, decides to fight against Voldemort because of his love for Lily, and is ultimately bitten to death by Nagini. (HP Chapters 7-32) Sirius Black: Harry's godfather, he was Jaime's best friend along with Lupin, killed by Bellatrix and disappeared across the curtain. Jaime Potter: Harry's father, killed by Voldemort. Lily Potter: Harry's mother, killed by Voldemort. Fred Weasley: a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Ron's older brother, twin to George, they twin brothers were very fond of pranks, didn't finish their studies at Hogwarts, used the 1000 Galleons that Harry had given them to start a joke store which did very well, died in an explosion during the Hogwarts duel. (HP Chapters 7-31) Dobby: Originally a house elf for the Malfoys, but was later freed by Harry and was a good friend of Harry's. Eventually killed by Bellatrix to save Harry from danger, Harry dug his own grave to bury him. The tombstone is inscribed, "Here lies Dobby, a free elf." (HP Chapters 7-23) Professor Remus Lupin: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, a good friend of Harry's father, a werewolf, and a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Died in the Battle of Hogwarts Showdown (Chapter HP7-32) Nymphadora Tonks: a young Auror who did things often with a little loss of character, later married Lupin and was killed together in the Battle of Hogwarts. (HP Chapters 7-32) Professor Alastor "Mad-Eye Man" Moody: a teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, an Auror, and a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Killed by Voldemort to cover Harry's transfer, his body's whereabouts are unknown, and his magical eye was hung outside his office by Umbridge before being stolen and buried by Harry. (HP7-5) Voldemort: Formerly known as Tom Riddle, the head of the demon that killed Harry's parents, and known as the "Mystic". He is defeated and destroyed by Harry in the Final Battle. (HP7-36) Bellatrix Lestrange: Sirius' cousin, who, along with Rodolphus Lestrange, Rabastan Lestrange, and Barty Crouch Jr. went to prison for torturing Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom by using the Heart Drilling Curse, and who later killed Sirius and Dobby, and was eventually killed by Molly. (HP7-36 chapters) Dwarf Peter: nicknamed Wormtail, originally Harry's father Jaime's best friend and the Jaime couple's confidential person, but defected to Voldemort, after the death of the Jaime couple, due to fear of turning into a mouse (Bamm-Bamm) to live on, due to the fact that Harry saved his life, a special relationship exists between him and Harry and in the dungeon of Malfoy Manor due to the conviction of the murder of Harry has been shaken and was killed by his own arm. wavered and was strangled by his own arm ...... (Chapters 7-23 of HP) Part 2 Non-Major Deaths Cedric Diggory: a Hufflepuff student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, and boyfriend of Autumn Chang, but was killed by Voldemort while competing in the Triwizard Tournament. Vincent Crabbe: A Slytherin student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Malfoy's nemesis, and father of a Death Eater. During the final Hogwarts melee, casts magical fire in the Room of Requirement to prevent Harry Potter from obtaining the Ravenclaw's Golden Crown, and is killed by the magical fire he himself set off. (HP Chapters 7-31) Colin Creevey: a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry who is an admirer of Harry. Petrified by the snake inside the Chamber of Secrets on Ha2. Killed in the Hogwarts duel. (HP7-34) Alfred Black: Sirius Black's dead uncle, who left him enough gold to buy "his own house". Alfard is removed from the Blake family tree. Mrs. Black: mother of Sirius and Regulus, very old (especially since her children are quite young again) or unnaturally old. Mrs. Black believed in the superiority of purebloods and died in 1985, but spewed constant rants and hatred through a life-size portrait that hung in the first-floor entryway of her ancient home at Grimaud 12. Kreacher worshipped her. Broderick Bode: works for the Department of Occult Affairs. struck by a Death Eater in late 1995, Bode loses the ability to speak and believes himself to be a teapot. Was recovering when he was strangled by a Devil's Web (a plant) at St. Mungo's Magical Hospital. Professor Chilo: Teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, used by Voldemort, dies. Professor Igor Karkaroff: Headmaster of Durmstrang School of Magic, former Death Eater who escaped after Voldemort's resurrection due to betraying too many Death Eaters, but was eventually killed. Charelli?6?1 Burbidge: professor of Muggle Studies at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, died from Voldemort's Avada Sorcery spell. (Chapter 7-1 of HP) Ted?6?1 Tonks: muggle-born wizard, father of Nymphadora, married to Andromeda. According to Nymphadora, he was a "typical slob", in contrast to the Dursleys, who kept their house too clean. Andromeda was removed from the Blake family after she married him. Murdered by Death Eaters. (Chapters HP7-22) Dirk?6?1 Cresswell: killed by Death Eaters along with Ted?6?1 Tonks. (HP7-22 Chapter) Gnark: The Tonks family's house elf, killed by Death Eaters. (HP7-22 chapter) Bashida?6?1 Bashat: author of The Wizard, mentor and friend of Dumbledore, neighbor of the Pouter family, later killed by Voldemort. (HP Chapters 7-17) Emmeline Vance: a member of the Order of the Phoenix, a demure and elegant witch, but later killed by Death Eaters as well. Benji Fenwick: an early member of the Order of the Phoenix, sacrificed. Edgar Bones: an early member of the Order of the Phoenix, brother of Amelia Bones, sacrificed. Cradock Dearborn: early member of the Order of the Phoenix, missing. Gideon Prewitt: early member of the Order of the Phoenix, killed in battle with his brother Fabian. Kardos Meadows: early member of the Order of the Phoenix, killed by Voldemort himself. Barty Crouch Jr: was the son of Barty Crouch, a loyal Death Eater who caused Voldemort's resurrection by pretending to be Professor Moody on top of the Ha4 and helping Voldemort send Harry to the grave of Voldemort's father. He was later killed by the Dementor's Kiss. Walton McNeil: Lurking and working at the Ministry of Magic, he was the executioner who was going to kill Buckbeak in Haha 3. He was thrown across the hall by Hagrid during the Hogwarts duel and slid unconscious to the ground after hitting a stone wall. (Chapters 7-36 of HP) August Lukewood: was Voldemort's spy in the Ministry of Magic, confessed by Karkaroff. Knocked unconscious by Abforth during the Hogwarts duel. (HP Chapters 7-36) Regulus Black: is Sirius' younger brother, an early Death Eater, who later decides to turn his back on the Dark Souls and, at the cost of his own life, steals one of the Horcruxes, the locket, and hands it over to Kreacher for elimination. Fenrir Grayburke: a brutal werewolf who liked to attack children, he later bit Bill and was put down by Ron and Neville in the Hogwarts duel. (Chapters HP7-36) Antonin Dolohov: killed Gideon and Mr. and Mrs. Fabian Privette, and was put down by Professor Freeway in the Hogwarts duel. (Chapters HP7-36) Yaxley: Death Eater, struck down by George and Lee Jordan in the Hogwarts duel. (Chapters HP7-36) Gibbon: Death Eater, Death Eater, accidentally killed by his side's magic spell in the Hogwarts sneak attack battle at Ha6. Evan Rozier: Death Eater, killed by the Aurors a year before Voldemort's fall Velks: Death Eater, killed by the Aurors a year before Voldemort's fall Rufus Scrimgeour: succeeded Fudge as the Minister of Magic, looks like a lion, very capable, always trying to make Harry the Ministry's "ambassador" for the Ministry's resistance to Voldemort, killed by Voldemort after the fall of the Ministry. After the fall of the Ministry of Magic, he was tortured to death by Voldemort, and would rather die than betray Harry. (HP7-8) Barty Crouch: Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Magic, he rescued his son Barty Crouch Jr. from prison, was controlled by Voldemort at the top of H.P.5, and was eventually killed by his son. Bertha Jorkins: worked in Barty Crouch's office, found out about the fact that Crouch was harboring his son, had her memory erased, caused memory damage, and was later caught by Voldemort, made Voldemort aware of the hosting of the Triwizard Tournament, and was then killed. Amelia Bones: head of the Legal Enforcement Division of the Ministry of Magic, very fair person, but later killed by Death Eaters. Friedwaffa: Hagrid's mother, a giant who later abandoned Hagrid and was later confirmed to be dead for many years after Hagrid searched for her. Kakus: the leader of the giants, but soon died in a coup with the giant tribe. Grigorovich: wand maker and one-time owner of the Elder Wand, killed by Voldemort, who was bent on pursuing the Elder Wand. (HP Chapters 7-14) Gillette?6?1 Grindelwald: once Dumbledore's most like-minded friend, but eventually parted ways, became a powerful dark wizard by stealing the Elder Wand. He was later defeated and imprisoned by Dumbledore, and eventually killed by Voldemort, who was searching for the Elder Wand. (Chapters 7-24 of HP) Frank Bryce: the old butler of Riddle House, killed by Voldemort Marvolo Gaunt: Voldemort's grandfather, the last of the Gaunt family with his son Morfin Gaunt and his daughter, Merope Gaunt, who is also Voldemort's mother Merope Gaunt: Voldemort's mother, who is later abandoned by Tom Riddle and dies in a state of despair. Tom Riddle: Voldemort's father, a Muggle who was bewitched by Merope with a drug of ecstasy and ran away with Merope to give birth to Voldemort, who was also named Tom Riddle. He was later killed along with his parents by his own son. Hruzbah Smith: a distant descendant of Hufflepuff, the founder of Hogwarts, possessed two treasures, Hufflepuff's cup and Slytherin's locket, and was killed by Voldemort as a young man. Mr. and Mrs. McKinnon; Mr. and Mrs. Burns; Gideon and Fabian Privette (4 pairs): wizards killed by Voldemort and Death Eaters. Hannah Ebb's parents (2): killed after Voldemort's resurrection. Part 3 Animals Hedwig: Harry's owl, shot by a spell during Harry's transfer battle. (Chapters 7-4 of HP) Fawkes: phoenix raised by Dumbledore, whereabouts unknown after Dumbledore's death. Bamm-Bamm: Ron's rat, actually turned by Peter the Wormtail Dwarf. Peter died, so that equates to it dying as well. (HP Chapters 7-23) Toothy: a large, timid dog owned by Hagrid. During the Armageddon, Harry sees the body of a dog the size of a small boat when he returns to school from the Screaming Haunted House, which is supposed to be Tooth and Nail, who died heroically in battle. (HP Chapters 7-33) Aragog: A super-sized spider raised by Hagrid, living inside the Tightwood, who was married to Mossag. He later died of an illness, and also had some of the poisonous juice from his corpse extracted by Sladhorn. Nagini: The great serpent beside Voldemort. The last of the Horcruxes, he was decapitated by Neville with a Gryffindor sword in the duel. (Chapters 7-36 of HP) Binky: a rabbit raised by Lavender Brown, bitten to death by a fox Serpent Monster (anonymous): a monster unleashed by Ginny in Hah 2, and finally decapitated by Harry. Part 4 Apparitions (who dares to say they're not dead ~~~~) Professor Binns: the History of Magic teacher at Hogwarts, an apparition. Sir Nicholas: Gryffindor's resident ghost, also known as "Nearly Headless Nick". Barrow the Blood: Slytherin's resident ghost Friar Humpty Dumpty: Hufflepuff's resident ghost Ms. Grey: Ravenclaw's resident ghost (I can't find the full name~~) The Weeping Gold Digger: killed 50 years ago by snakes in the Chamber of Secrets, now a ghost in the girls' washroom on the first floor Patrick DeBeauvoir: captain of the Headless Huntresses (field hockey)
