"Fog locks the top of the mountain, and the sky is connected with the tail of the water" comes from a couplet of Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, Fujian. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Liu Rushi, a famous prostitute in the south of the Yangtze River, supported the struggle against the Qing Dynasty and regained sight. After Ming died, she hanged herself for it. Someone wrote a palindrome praising her:

Liu Rushi among people,

like a willow among people.

In view of Liu Rushi's noble moral integrity, Lianyun is "Liu Rushi among people".

there was a famous restaurant in Beijing in the Qing dynasty, which was called "natural residence". Emperor Qianlong once enjoyed delicious food in the building. When he was slightly tipsy, he felt like a guest in the sky. So, with a wave of his imperial pen, he wrote such a palindrome:

A guest lives in a natural place, but

a guest in the sky.

This couplet is one meaning when it is read forward, and another meaning when it is read backward, and the two meanings are interrelated and natural.
