Taizhou Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Power Generation Project
The renovation project of Jiaojiang waste incineration plant invested by Jiaojiang Thermal Power Co., Ltd. was completed and put into use. The project adopts grate furnace incineration technology, and the designed treatment scale is 320 tons/day. The whole project cost 43.5 million yuan, but it was suspended because the exhaust emission was not up to standard and the surrounding residents reacted strongly. Wenling's first domestic waste incineration power generation project-Wenling Chengnan Town Landfill has started construction. The total investment of the garbage incineration power generation project is nearly 300 million yuan, and the designed daily garbage disposal capacity is about 700 tons (250,000 tons of garbage per year). After all the projects are completed, about 69 million kWh of electricity can be generated each year by using waste heat.

The garbage incineration technology of this project adopts two-stage reciprocating mechanical grate furnace technology. It is said that this technology has been widely used in some countries in Europe and America and Japan, and it is the most mature and reliable incineration technology in the world. Project operation adopts BOT (Build, Operate and Transfer) mode. Wenling Municipal Government signed a BOT contract with the investment operator Wenling Hanyang Resources and Electric Power Co., Ltd. to transfer the investment, construction and operation rights of the project to the investment operator within 25 years. The project investment is raised by the investment operator, and the investment operator will gradually recover the investment through the proceeds of electricity sales and the garbage disposal subsidies paid by the government during the 25-year operation period. After the expiration of 25 years, the investment operator will hand over the waste incineration power plant facilities to Wenling Municipal Government free of charge.
