It is aimed at the prominent problems strongly reflected by the public in practice, with the catering sector as the entry point, focusing on food consumption and sales to counter waste, promote savings and strict control, while focusing on the relationship with the food security law and other relevant laws being drafted, to reduce waste of food, food production and processing, storage and transportation and other aspects of the principle of the provisions.

Legal basis: "The Chinese People's **** and State Anti-Food Waste Law" Article 28 Violation of the provisions of this law, food service operators did not take the initiative to prevent food waste tips to remind consumers, by the market supervision and management department of the local people's government at or above the county level or by the local people's government at or above the county level designated by the department ordered to make corrections, and given a warning. In violation of the provisions of this Law, where a food service operator induces or misleads a consumer to order an excessive amount of food resulting in obvious waste, the market supervision and administration department of the local people's government at or above the county level, or the department designated by the local people's government at or above the county level, shall order rectification and give a warning; and if the operator refuses to make rectification, it shall be fined from 1,000 to 10,000 yuan. In violation of the provisions of this Law, food production operators in the process of food production and operation caused serious food waste, by the market supervision and management department of the local people's government above the county level or the local people's government at or above the county level designated department shall order rectification; refusal to make corrections, shall be sentenced to a fine of not less than 5,000 yuan and not more than 50,000 yuan.
