[edit] Expo site
An architectural model of the Expo site, on display at the Urban Planning Exhibition Center in Shanghai The Shanghai World Expo site is located between the Nanpu Bridge and the Lupu Bridge (including a small portion of land to the left of the Lupu Bridge), and is laid out along both sides of the Huangpu River in downtown Shanghai. The planned area of the Expo site is 5.28 square kilometers, of which the Pudong portion is 3.93 square kilometers and the Puxi portion is 1.35 square kilometers. The fenced area (with admission fees) covers about 3.28 square kilometers. [edit] Entrances
As of the end of March 2010, Shanghai World Expo officials have never officially released information on the addresses of the Expo's entrances, gate numbers, or "how to get to the Expo". The Expo Park can also be accessed via water transportation, as the Shanghai Expo Park Water Terminal in the Pudong section is nearing completion, and visitors will be able to enter the park by boat during the Expo [26].
On April 6, 2010, 25 days before the opening of the Shanghai World Expo, the official website of the Shanghai World Expo released an article entitled "Use 7 ways to check the traffic service information in all-weather" [27], which referred to the "Shanghai World Expo Traffic Network (www.jtcx.sh.cn)", and for the first time officially announced the following the distribution of entrances to the Expo site.
Shanghai World Expo officially announced nine land entrances and four water entrances [28]. They are:
