Villagers' committees and residents' (community) committees shall determine the division of labor among their members and be responsible for the prevention and control of disease vectors. Article 17 The health, quality supervision, industrial and commercial administration and food and drug supervision and administration departments of the people's governments at or above the county level shall, when examining and approving the hygiene licenses for public places and the licenses for food production, circulation and catering services, review the sanitary conditions of their facilities and equipment for preventing and controlling disease vectors and the food production and operation process in accordance with the provisions of the Food Safety Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and other laws and regulations.
