Zhang Jinliang's devoted face.
Zhang Jinliang is not only brilliant in Peking Opera performing arts and opera teaching, but also has made great achievements in Peking Opera facial makeup. He is a famous facial makeup painter. When he was in Chinese Opera School, he liked to draw faces. He often used brown paper to draw faces. Weng Ouhong, a famous playwright, appreciated Zhang Jinliang's talent very much, and Zeng Zeng gave him a lot of Facebook information. When Zhang Jinliang was in China Theatre Academy, no one taught Facebook class. He once gave Facebook lessons to students. For decades, the art of Facebook has become Zhang Jinliang's hobby. When he is free, he devotes himself to studying Facebook, drawing Facebook and writing articles about Facebook. Zhang Jinliang is also good at combining traditional painting with Chinese painting techniques. Drawing lessons from western color methods, the artistic connotation of Facebook is richer and more vivid. In the living room of Zhang's hometown, the walls are covered with Zhang's masterpieces. Many of his facial paintings are collected by Beijing opera lovers and some museums at home and abroad. Yuan Shihai, a master of Peking Opera, spoke highly of Zhang Jinliang's facial makeup works, saying that he painted the charm of facial makeup and was a masterpiece in facial makeup art. ..

During a hospital stay, Zhang Jinliang spent half a year painting "One Hundred Ugly Paintings", which has been published. Hou, the master of crosstalk, wrote the word "Ugly Kui" for the album. After retirement, Zhang Jinliang devoted himself to the art of facial makeup. He integrated all kinds of facial makeup and extracted them organically, and drew all the forms of Shuihu, Shiguan, Shen Fengbang, Legend of the White Snake, Journey to the West and some traditional figures, as well as the forms of Sichuan Opera, Kunqu Opera, Han Opera, Shanxi Opera, xiang opera and other brother operas. , a total of two. The faces painted by Zhang Lao are all famous and beautifully made, which is a fine work in the art of face painting. These masks are exquisite and realistic, and there are people's comments next to them, which is very interesting. Zhang Lao said that the art of facial makeup is an important part of Peking Opera. Some characters try to play without drawing faces. Over the years. Many actors come across faces that they can't draw, and they all go to Zhang Lao for advice. Zhang Lao is looking forward to the early publication of his Picture Man, which will be handed down to later generations. Otherwise, once lost, it will cause irreparable losses. Zhang Jinliang, who is now over 70 years old, still insists on learning and drawing Facebook, and the art of Facebook has become a part of his life. He named his study "Six Ugly Zhai", which, as the name implies, means loving ugliness, learning ugliness, painting ugliness, telling ugliness, acting ugliness and teaching ugliness. Zhang Lao expounded his profound views on the art of Facebook. He said that it was not until the late Ming and early Qing dynasties that traditional Chinese opera developed into a systematic facial mask. And formed various schools. According to their facial features, bones, muscles, fatness and thinness, various factions have created unique and novel music charts. Facebook's established spectrum, like chess and recipes, has strict rules and is very elegant. Arbitrary drawing is not allowed. Facebook sketches should pay attention to the sharpness and fluency of brushwork. Painting on paper is slightly different from painting on the face. When drawing on the face, we should first pay attention to the shape, fat bones, texture, tendons and the specific personality characteristics of the characters in the play. Only round and beautiful, elegant and neat, with pictures and gods, can we create vivid characters.

Zhang Jinliang's facial makeup, techniques and coloring methods are different. Facebook belongs to the category of meticulous painting. However, Zhang Lao did not stick to the rules, and he broke through the stereotypes of his predecessors with good reason. He combined the techniques of western painting with those of Chinese painting, paying attention to the sharp and smooth strokes, clear lines and accurate coloring. According to the characters' good and evil, loyalty, feelings, facial features and other characteristics, the image is vivid and gives people a three-dimensional sense, which has become a unique genre of Facebook. Zhang Lao said that I am an old man in my 80s now, but I don't feel so old. Participating in Facebook art made me young, and I could make some contributions to the essence of China art, so that I started to pursue life. In my lifetime, I will further explore the art of facial makeup and do my bit to promote the art of Peking Opera.

There is a jingle in Beijing Opera: "There is a clay figurine Zhang in Tianjin and Zhang Jinliang's Facebook in Beijing." Zhang Jinliang is not only a clown performing artist in Beijing Opera, a traditional opera educator, but also a famous facial painter. Mr. Zhang Lao is 83 years old and has worked in Beijing Opera for more than 70 years.

Zhang Jinliang was born in Liyuan family, and his ancestral home was in Beijing. His father has performed on the same stage with famous predecessors such as Mei Lanfang and Cheng for many years. When Zhang Jinliang was a child, he gradually fell in love with the art of Peking Opera. 1930, Zhang Jinliang was admitted to Peking China Advanced Theatre Academy. He started out as a clown, but because of his good understanding and quick learning, he soon became the high flyers of drama school. Zhang Jinliang is known as one of the "Four Little King Kong" of China Theatre Academy, and won the first place in Beijing Tongling Competition for Joker.

After graduation, Zhang Jinliang stayed as a teaching assistant, teaching during the day and performing at night. 1937 after the lugouqiao incident, the drama school was dissolved, and Zhang Jinliang took classes everywhere (participated in the acting of the troupe), and almost traveled all over the provinces of the motherland and tasted the ups and downs of life. The experience of that narrow escape made him unforgettable. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Zhang Jinliang went to the South to perform by boat. Unexpectedly, he boarded the passenger ship used by the Japanese invaders to smuggle ammunition. When the ship was about to dock in Wuhan, several Kuomintang fighters suddenly roared and dropped several bombs. Zhang Jinliang was lucky to survive because the bomb didn't hit the spaceship.

1947, Zhang Jinliang went to the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia to perform with Ping Jin Peking Opera Troupe, and later became the first batch of actors of China Opera Academy. 1953 seconded to Shandong Peking Opera Troupe. During the Cultural Revolution, Zhang Jinliang suffered a lot, and his identity changed from an artist to a "cultural traitor" and a "big spy". He wore a sign around his neck and was paraded and criticized all day. One day, he couldn't bear it any longer. He ran to Qianfo Mountain at night, put a hemp rope around his neck under a crooked neck tree, and wanted to be alone. Later, Zhang Jinliang gave up this plan, because he didn't want to take the essence of China art he had worked so hard to inherit to his grave silently. 1978, his old friend in Beijing visited Zhang Jinliang and invited him back to Beijing to teach at China Theatre Academy. 1982, Zhang Lao was invited back to Shandong to teach at the provincial opera school. At the invitation of Shandong University, CCTV and Beijing People's Broadcasting Station, Mr. Zhang Lao gave a lecture on the performing arts of Peking Opera clowns.

Despite several ups and downs for decades, Zhang Jinliang has never stopped pursuing the art of Peking Opera. He has worked with four famous Dan (Mei Lanfang, Cheng, Xun Huisheng, Shang Xiaoyun), four famous Dan (,Song Dezhu,,), four disciples (Ma, Tan, Yang, Xi Xiaobo) and eight Kundan (Li Yuru, Yan Huizhu, Wu Suqiu, Zhao Yanxia, Tong Zhiling, Wang Yurong, Yun Yanming). He successfully created hundreds of clown characters, and many scenes he played are still vivid today. In 1930s, he performed a scene in which his mother-in-law abused her daughter-in-law in He Chun Grand Theatre. At the climax of the play, an audience thinks that Zhang Jinliang is a cruel mother-in-law and angrily throws a teapot at Zhang Jinliang. After War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's performance, he performed the whole "Yu Tang Chun" in Beijing Chang 'an Theatre. Halfway through the play, a Kuomintang officer who knew the lyrics pulled out a pistol from his waist, climbed onto the stage and fought fiercely with Zhang Jinliang. He quickly hid in the background. In 1960s, Zhang Jinliang's role as an American consultant in Indiana Jones left a deep impression on people. When Premier Zhou met him, he said humorously, "Hello, Mr. American Consultant."

When Zhang Jinliang was a child, he often went to the theatre with his father. He was fascinated by the way the old gentlemen scratched their faces backstage. When I was a teenager, I began to study and ponder the art of Facebook, and I got the true biography of my predecessors such as Ma Fulu. He has devoted himself to this research for 60 years. Zhang Jinliang's facial makeup, techniques and coloring are different, which not only respects the traditional music handed down by predecessors, but also breaks through the stereotypes of predecessors, and integrates the coloring techniques of western painting with those of Chinese painting to create a unique facial makeup school.

In order to save the traditional art of facial makeup, Zhang Jinliang, who is over eighty years old, has compiled more than 2,000 kinds of facial makeup that he has carefully drawn over the years, including hundreds of facial makeup of The Journey to the West, The Legend of the Water Margin, The Legend of the White Snake, The List of Gods, Shi Gong 'an, The Picture of a Hundred Ugly Faces and various lost classic facial makeup spectra, as well as Sichuan Opera, Kunqu Opera and Han Opera. I'm writing an Introduction to the Performing Arts of Clowns in China Opera, and I've written more than 100,000 words.

Zhang Jinliang thinks it's a pity that young Peking Opera actors don't know much about Facebook, because they haven't received orthodox and strict makeup training. Mr. Zhang Lao's greatest wish is to sort out all the faces he created and treasured for many years in his lifetime, leaving a valuable cultural heritage for future generations. Unfortunately, he can't get enough money to publish this set of books on his own. If he doesn't rescue them in time, these precious Facebook faces will be lost.
