On the ninth day of the first lunar month, Taoism in China called it "Amanome". On this day, temples will set up Dojo to hold the ceremony of golden reed, which is called "Jade Emperor's Meeting". Taoists and Taoists attending the ceremony should worship the Jade Emperor, perform the ceremony of "fasting to heaven" and pray for a long life. In Fujian and Taiwan Province, people worship God especially. They call this day God's birthday, which means God's birthday. People worship God and pray for God's blessing on this day. Then today's traditional festival will introduce you to the worship custom in southern Fujian.

People in southern Fujian especially worship God. Quanzhou calls this day "God's Day", which means God's birthday. Every household should burn incense and praise God on this day, which is called "burning incense", and prepare various offerings to worship God and the gods below him.

The ninth day of the first lunar month to four o'clock in the morning is the best time for Minnan people to sacrifice to God. Their offerings to the gods are very rich, including a red paper tower, five fruits and six fasting, and even a golden pig dedicated to the supreme god. The most unique folk custom is that Minnan people also use sugar cane to worship the gods. There is also a historical legend about this custom.

Legend has it that at the end of the Tang Dynasty, Huang Chao's army went south from the north during the Chinese New Year (some people said it was Yang Zongbao in the Song Dynasty, others said it was Chen Yuanguang, the sage of the Tang Dynasty). The northern army met Fujian aborigines with different costumes and languages, and heard that these residents called themselves "wolves" (pronounced "people" in Minnan dialect), so they killed them.

Facing the Fujian aborigines in the north of Qiang Bing, they had to flee to the sugar cane garden. It was not until the northern soldiers figured out what was going on and stopped killing that they survived and walked out of the sugarcane garden. It is said that these lucky Fujian natives believe that they survived because of God's blessing, so they made sacrifices on the day they left the sugarcane garden, that is, the ninth day of the first month, and used it to make up for the New Year. At the same time, over time, they formed the custom of "God gives birth to the New Year" and "worshipping God on the ninth day of the first month".
