Shazi Town is located in the east of Shizhu County, Chongqing, with east longitude10816'-108 30' and north latitude 29 55'-30 08'. Jinling Township in the east, Zhu Jin Township, Liutang Township and Xixiang Township in the south, Sanhe Township and Nanbin Town in the west, Zhong Yi Township and Lengshui Township in the north. It covers an area of 168 km2, governs 9 villages, 1 residents, 56 groups, 4,258 households and15,037 people.

The town has a pleasant climate, abundant resources and convenient transportation. The annual average temperature is 16℃, which is very suitable for summer. Rich in water shield, bracken, tofu, bamboo shoots, wild mushrooms and other green foods. The forest coverage rate is 65%, the forest volume162,600 cubic meters, the coal storage capacity is 47 million tons, and the installed capacity of the power plant is 1045kw. More than 10,000 mu of Chinese herbal medicines are mainly coptis chinensis. Wild ancient ginkgo biloba, grassland, bamboo forest, plateau snow scene, ingenious camphor tree cave, original ecological intangible cultural heritage-_ two sculptures, make people linger. Chongqing-Lijiang high-speed railway and Shanghai-Chengdu expressway pass through the sand, and rural roads extend in all directions. Convenient transportation has built a golden bridge for sand to get rich.

Since June, 20001year, the towns of Huhu, Sha and Juandian in the original sand area of Shizhu County merged to form a sand town. The Party Committee and Class 1 of this town aimed at bamboo shoot resources, introduced merchants and developed them, so that all the farmers in the town had a fixed cash income channel. In 2005, only one bamboo shoot made farmers earn more than 2.5 million yuan in cash.
