Introduction to Xiqiao Mountain

From the internet, few people can visit all the scenic spots in one day because of the scattered scenic spots on the mountain. I don't know much about tourist maps, so I decided to have a look and see as many places as possible.

Get up early to go to the ancestral temple, and visit Xiqiao Mountain on the 2nd. It is convenient for everyone to take several special tourist buses in 4 yuan and Foshan, but there are as many stops as buses. It's also interesting to listen to the names of stations in Cantonese. LP was amused to hear that "* * station has fallen (arrived), please get off at the gate". The car turned around in Foshan, passed the Nanfeng ancient stove and left the city. After crossing the Xijiang Bridge in nanzhuang town, it takes about an hour to reach the foot of Xiqiao Mountain.

Xiqiao Mountain is an ancient volcano, located in the Pearl River Delta Plain, in Nanhai County, 40 kilometers away from Guangzhou. The mountain rises from the ground, with overlapping peaks. The main peak is only 344 meters high, but it is very steep because of the Ma Pingchuan around it. The crater at the top of the mountain has formed a heavenly lake, as clear as a mirror; There are more than 200 flowing springs and waterfalls, which are impressive. Xiqiao has 72 peaks and 36 caves. The main peak is Dakefeng, which is located among the mountains. The main scenic spots are Guanyin in Nanhai, Baiyun Cave Scenic Area, Shiyan Rock Scenic Area, Cui Yan Scenic Area, Jasper Cave Scenic Area, Wong Tai Sin Scenic Garden and Jiulong Rock Scenic Area. There are monk temples, Taoist temples, academies, ancestral temples and pavilions between the springs and waterfalls. Xiqiao Mountain has beautiful scenery and has been rated as a national key scenic spot, a national forest park and a national AAAA-level tourist area.

There is a free CMB going up the mountain below the opposite sign. Get in the car and find a seat. Ask the old lady next to her about the arrival of the bus. I couldn't understand the answer at all, so I had to cran my neck to look at the stop sign outside the window. The name of the station doesn't match the scenic spot, and I can't understand the map. I decided to go to Tianchi to talk about it. Many people will come up soon, basically burning incense locally. Driving at 9 o'clock, arriving at the gate of the scenic spot a few minutes later, the car stopped, the staff sold tickets, and we bought tickets in the car. Everyone is in 50 yuan, and the locals may have cards similar to annual tickets. The car continued to go up, began to climb the mountain and took Panshan Road. The driver didn't announce the name of the station. Someone shouted to stop several people, as if they were getting off at Baofeng Temple. After a while, someone stopped. I asked the driver if he had arrived at Tianhu. The driver said, "You didn't shout. This is the Giant Buddha. Tianhu has passed, but you can also get to Tianhu from here." Get out of the car.

Across the road is the gate of the Giant Buddha Scenic Area. Let's go to see the giant Buddha first. Show your tickets at the door and make a hole in the relevant position. Ask the staff that the next free shuttle bus to Jiulong Rock is Tianhu. 10. 200 meters along this road is the parking lot of the Giant Buddha Scenic Area. It is better to take a bus to play here. Although there are many friends here in Foshan who can drive us, they don't want to bother others, like to play freely and don't want anyone to accompany them.

After entering the scenic spot, LP first found the stone chairs in the leisure square very interesting. Cats, dogs, rabbits and other animals are all carried at both ends. I have seen the chairs carried by rabbits in Haikou New State Guesthouse, but the chairs carried by various animals are really interesting. I am busy taking pictures in different chairs. Go further and you will reach the foot of the giant Buddha. On the high terrace is the largest Guanyin statue in the world at present, 6 1.9 meters high (it is said that Guanyin's birthday is1June 9). Looking up at the Buddha, the Buddha is very high and kind, and the steps are too high to go up. Below is the pool, bridge and shadow wall of white marble. Turn around and you will see a big archway, which is the back door of Baofeng Temple. I was not interested in temples, so I went back to the gate of the Giant Buddha Scenic Area to ensure my physical strength.

If you want to go to Tianhu, put the road sign to the door and you will see a deep step road. I asked the people in the canteen next to me that it would take half an hour to go to Tianhu. It's all downhill, and you have to climb up when you come back. LP was terrified at the sound, so he decided to come back and talk. But just 9: 40, the free bus arrived from the passing scenic spots, which is still early. It is said that Kowloon Rock is 3 or 4 kilometers long, and it takes more than an hour and a half to walk fast. LP said it was still cold to wait, and it would be warmer if we just walked along the road, so we threw off our arms and walked along the road to Jiulong Rock. Because we are already on the mountain, the asphalt road is curved but the slope is not big, so we refused a batch of motorcycles (no matter how much we dare to ride, a motorcycle for two people has no helmet). Fortunately, the trees on both sides of the road are green and the air is fresh, so we should take a walk. Soon we arrived at the New Peach Blossom Garden and asked the service staff at the door, although we can also go to Jiulong Rock inside. I don't know. It's better to take the main road, which is shorter than the path. Although we saw some local climbers trapped, we'd better follow people's advice and continue to walk right along the road at the fork in the road. It only takes us half an hour to reach Jiulong Rock and Sifang Bamboo Scenic Area.

This is a famous scenic spot in Xiqiao Mountain. Just after two tourist buses left with tourists, they first went to Sifang Bamboo Scenic Area. After punching in at the door, they asked the service staff if there was a bus to Cui Yan next. The little girl turned the ticket over enthusiastically and drew a route for me with a pen. She also said that there were few cars and the time was uncertain. If she has the strength, she can walk along the path for two hours from Jiulong Rock. I thank the little girl for her advanced bamboo scenic spot.

The Sifang Bamboo Scenic Area is very small, mainly to show a piece of bamboo that is rare in other places. This kind of bamboo is not thick, but you can feel that the bamboo pole is actually square with your hands. There is also a kind of bamboo with a big belly, like sugarcane, which is also rare. I turned around and found that the free bus might arrive at 1, but it hasn't arrived at 1 1 yet, so I crossed the street and got off along Jiulong Rock.

Jiulong Rock Scenic Area doesn't need tickets, and Shiban Road is very quiet. Soon, I arrived in Jiulong Rock. Jiulong Rock is made up of a strange rock. It's cloudy today, the light here is even worse, and the photo-taking effect is not good. LP happened to find several banana trees by the roadside, each with a bunch of dark green bananas hanging on it. This is her first close observation of bananas growing on trees.

Continue to go down, basically can't see tourists, LP is a little worried, I comfort her not afraid, after all, it is in the scenic spot, although it is in the south, but the scenic spot has never seen snakes. When I got off the stone road, the roadside scenery was good, and soon I came to the side of the mountain. Although the scenery below the mountain is not very clear, the house and paddy fields are still vivid. Further on the road, there is a solitary boulder shaped like a big mushroom, which is the famous stone mushroom. Climb to the back and have a look. There is a stream flowing out of the stone mushroom.

Going forward is an uphill road that LP doesn't want to see. Who says it's easier to go up than down? In fact, it is easier to catch my breath down the mountain than up the mountain. After climbing for a while, I finally came to a relatively gentle path. I found many square holes on the roadside. When I look down, it looks like the hall of a house. It is tall and straight, with water under it, which reminds me of grave robbers. LP told me to come up quickly. I fell and no one saved me. Not far ahead, you will arrive at Shiyan Scenic Area. After reading the instructions, I realized that this area is an ancient quarry. No wonder that cave was so strange just now.

Go in along the path and you will see a clearing. There is a big hole in the opposite mountain wall. When we approached the big hole, we found a huge quarry, and the stones in the hole were cut into pieces. A woman asked us if we would like to take a boat to the underground river to see the gloomy place below, but she declined. I didn't find the stone screen for a long time, so I went back to see the signboard introduction. I looked up at the stone screen at the intersection, and a thin boulder left by the quarry stood in front of the mountain. Continue to walk or go up the mountain, and you will soon see stone windows, all of which are mined works.

Boarding a sightseeing booth to catch my breath, I met a tourist who had just been brought up by a motorcycle and asked the driver how far Cui Yan was. He said it's far away. Take his car. I told him that he liked to go alone. Not far ahead, you will reach the gate of Shiyan Scenic Area. I went out to check the tickets this time and asked the service staff. The little girl said I came from the back, and the route was right. The door is the road, and one kilometer along the road is Biyun Town. Next to Biyun Hotel, I went down to Cui Yan. Thank her for walking on the road.

This time it's much closer than just now. I was really worried when I saw some tourists galloping by on motorcycles. After seeing the intersection through the TV antenna tower (which should be the highest peak, Dake Peak), you will arrive at Biyun Town. It turns out that there are many homes on the mountain. No wonder there are quite a few people driving up the mountain. I'm hungry. I have to find a restaurant to treat myself after a long walk. Standing at the intersection, I saw a farmhouse restaurant not far away, so I quickly passed. There were many people eating in it, so I found a table and sat down to look at the menu. I asked the waiter what it means to eat carp three times. It turns out that the fish head is used to make tofu soup, and the fish body is half fried and steamed with fish fillets. I only took fish 18 yuan per catty and 2 yuan a bowl of rice. In this way, soup is also available. The food is so beautiful and delicious. We each ordered two bowls of rice and went to 48 yuan when we were full. This is the most comfortable and cheapest meal in Guangdong, or on the mountain in the scenic spot. This restaurant is called Vigo Hotel, which is highly recommended.

After dinner, I came out and returned to the crossroads, entered the Biyun Hotel, and went to Cui Yan Scenic Area under the small door of leafless well. Cui Yan is a canyon that goes downhill. It's not very long, but the scenery is very good. Unfortunately, there are all kinds of strange rocks along the stone steps, but there is little water in the stream before the rainy season.

Out of Cui Yan, there is a bridge on the road. On one side of the bridge is a green lake. Across the lake are Baofeng Temple and the Giant Buddha. In front of it, it came down from the Jasper Cave. Jasper Cave has no holes, and it is also a canyon. First, it walked all the way down the stone steps, past a martyrs monument, and then down to the canyon. Nice scenery. There is a Jade Rock Pearl Waterfall, which is said to be the largest waterfall in Xiqiao Mountain, but now running water is not a waterfall.

I'm really tired after walking for a long time. I sat on the steps and had a rest. Now I finally understand the guide map. Look at the time just after three o'clock and ask LP if he will go to Tianhu by car again. LP really didn't want to go and didn't see the free bus. He walked out of the gate for nearly a kilometer and came to the road in front of the archway. Slowly, God felt reluctant and hesitated to take a one-stop bus to Baiyun Cave Scenic Area. There was a saying that "if you want to see Xiqiao, you must swim in the white clouds first". There are many historic sites in Baiyun Cave, including Sanxiang Academy, Kuiguang Building and Baiyun Cave. But I was really tired, so I took the No.2 bus directly and got on the bus and went back to the ancestral temple. When I put in a coin, the driver said everyone 5 yuan. I said it wasn't four dollars, but he said it was impossible. Forget it, leave him alone. After throwing 10 yuan, I sat in the back and fell asleep soon.

At 5 o'clock, I arrived at the ancestral temple. On the way back to the hotel, I bought a small basket of mulberry grains for 4 yuan in the free market, went back to the hotel to rest, and went out for dinner near Chengmentou, Lamian Noodles, Lanzhou in the evening. The next day, I told my friends in Foshan about today's itinerary. It's a pity that Tianhu and Baiyun Cave didn't go. They were all surprised. It's not enough to walk so many places in one day at our age.
