After defeating the rebels, he was fearless, resourceful and decisive, and he was worthy of being the minister who locked the door. Renzong greatly admired him.

In the winter of the same year, Queen Cao died at the age of 64. Posthumous title gave the "Queen of Mercy and Light" and was buried in Yongzhaoling.
