Wang Yang Village is the seat of Wang Yang Town People's Government. Located 20 kilometers southwest of Xinjiang County, with flat terrain, it is the geographical center of Wang Yang Town. The original village was built in the village and used to be a military camp, so it was named Zhaili Village. Because of the same name as Longxing Town in this county, it was renamed Wang Yang Village on 198 1. There are 4 residential groups in the village, with 290 households and 1.200 people, with a total land area of 3,838 mu and cultivated land area of 2,400 mu. The leading industries are nectarines and apples, with a per capita net income of 3,000 yuan. Yangwangji Town, located at the intersection of Xinjiang, Wenxi and Jishan counties, is a transportation hub in southern Xinjiang. The provincial highway is adjacent to (Linfen) Xia (Xia County) Highway, and crosses 108 National Highway in the north. Wenxi is connected with Datong (Yuncheng) Highway in the south of West Street of this town. Prosperous market trade, a provincial key rural market town, is the political, economic, cultural, educational and health center of Wang Yang Town. Wang Yang Central Health Center in Xinjiang, which belongs to Wangzhong County, is located here. There are also primary schools and village health clinics in the village. Program-controlled telephones can broadcast live to the whole country. Every household has installed closed-circuit television. There are diamond tool factory, wear-resistant material general factory, smelting foundry, flour mill and other enterprises. The diamond tools, wear-resistant balls and flour they produce are exported to both inside and outside the province. The tertiary industry has also developed rapidly. Jiyi Temple (commonly known as Wang Yang Temple) in the west of the village was built in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties and rebuilt in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. It has a magnificent building and beautiful shape. It is a masterpiece of classical architecture. The murals in the temple are China's artistic treasures, comparable to Yongle Palace, a provincial key cultural relic protection unit. Cultural life is very active. Every year, an ancient temple fair is held on February 2 in the ancient calendar, where social fire cultural programs from 23 villages in the town gather. There will be performances, opera performances and movie parties. Its wonderful programs are famous both inside and outside the province.
