Generally, the thickness of 5MM does give some discount.
It depends on the manufacturer of the crystal piece.
I am a designer, and I often use crystal plates in my materials. It is actually an acrylic board.
The 5+5 crystal plate is not a good match. Looks very thin.
If it takes me a long time, I usually use 10+5, plus 45-degree chamfering for polishing.
The design is not paved, and the edge has a transparent edge of about 3-5CM.
It looks as transparent as crystal. The price is more expensive. But the effect is better.
PVC board is opaque, and there is another defect, the corners are rough and not smooth, but it is cheap.
If the manufacturer can cut it better. Deal with the side.
If the design is full, the PVC board will not be exposed, so it is not a big problem to use PVC.
Mainly depends on the purpose.
