Shang Hu is located at the foot of Yushan Mountain, 2 kilometers away from the city. Shang Hu Scenic Area is not far from Yushan Scenic Area. Our self-driving route is: start from Yushan Scenic Area, go south along Yushan North Road, turn right at Ximen Street and enter Yushan South Road; Go straight along Yushan South Road and follow the traffic signs to find the Shang Hu Scenic Area.
Shang Hu is now a leisure and holiday tourist area. It got its name from the legend that Jiang Shang (Jiang Taigong) lived in seclusion and fished here to avoid the tyranny of Zhou Wang in the late Shang Dynasty. 8 kilometers around the lake, facing Yushan, with beautiful scenery. There is a long levee across the lake, with peach trees and willow trees on both sides of the levee. The main attractions are Hexiangzhou Park and Fishing Pearl Park. In addition to pavilions and architectural gardens, there are swimming pools, golf courses and water sports fields in the park.
Peony Garden is located in Shang Hu Scenic Area. When we arrived, the flowers had withered and there was nothing to appreciate. In fact, peony appreciation should not be in Changshu, but in Luoyang, Henan and Heze, Shandong. This is the authentic "peony capital" and "hometown of peony".
Shang Hu scenic spot ticket 60 yuan/person. There are only a few people in such a big scenic spot. It's quiet here and the air is fresh. If you like quiet people, this is also a good time to visit Shang Hu.
Shang Hu is also called Wetland Park. There are many trees in the lake, graceful and graceful, like a song saying "Iraq is in the water", which is very distinctive.
Maybe we came at a bad time. The general feeling is that Shang Hu is very cold and lonely, and very unpopular. Not as good as I expected. Tickets to 60 yuan seem a little expensive, too. Personally, I think 30 yuan is almost enough.
Visit the city center
Changshu ancient city has a history of 1700 years since it was established as a county in the Western Jin Dynasty. It should be said that Changshu is very clean and beautiful. Especially the new city, wide roads and brand-new buildings give people a strong visual impact.
As a county-level city, Changshu boasts amazing laurels. 1986 Changshu was approved as a "national historical and cultural city". Later, it won a series of titles such as National Health City, China Excellent Tourism City, National Garden City, National Environmental Protection Model City, National Advanced County and City for Comprehensive Management of Social Security, National Smooth Project Model Management City, and International Garden City. In view of these names, I think Changshu is also worth a visit.
The old city of Changshu is also being gradually transformed. The house by the river is clean and tidy with white walls and tiles. At night, tourists stand on the stone bridge and watch the light meet the river, which has a unique flavor.
Deyilou Steamed Restaurant is located in the famous Fangta Street. Fangta Street is named after the nine-story square tower built in the Song Dynasty nearby. After a hearty meal, our group walked out of the proud building and walked along Fangta Street.
Fangta Street is a commercial street with a wide range of goods and department stores. Especially at night, the lights are brightly lit, people are buzzing and the market is very lively. Many famous brand stores are not expensive. I bought a belt with rabbit pattern and a long-sleeved shirt with polo logo, and left Fangta Street with satisfaction.
