Gout patients should avoid high purine foods and limit the intake of fructose and alcohol.
1. High-purine food: High-purine food can be metabolized to produce a large amount of uric acid, which aggravates the patient's condition and should be avoided. This kind of food includes animal offal, pork, beef and mutton, shellfish, anchovies, sardines, tuna and so on.
2. High fructose food: High fructose food can inhibit the excretion of uric acid, so it should be restricted. This kind of food includes especially sweet drinks, apples, bananas, watermelons and so on.
3. Alcohol: substances that inhibit uric acid excretion will also be produced in the process of alcohol metabolism, so gout patients should drink as little as possible.
Gout is a disease in which uric acid crystals are formed and deposited in joints due to high blood uric acid level. At present, the etiology is unknown, mostly manifested as joint pain, redness and swelling, and repeated attacks can lead to joint deformity. Gout patients can eat more low-purine foods such as fruits and vegetables, potatoes, rice and goat milk, and drink more water; You should also have regular rest and exercise, keep your weight and don't smoke.
