Yang comes from the royal family of the Western Zhou Dynasty after the Yellow Emperor. There are three versions, all from the Zhou Dynasty royal family.

1, ancestral grandson, second son, brother of Xie Fu, the marquis of Jin Dynasty. When Emperor Wu of the Jin Dynasty (the eleventh grandson), he named his second son Hou Yang, the ancestor of Yang.

2. The eldest son and father who originated in Zhou Xuanwang. During the reign of Wang Xuan, the eldest son and father were named Yang Guo (now Hongdong County, Shanxi Province), and they were destroyed by Yang Weijin in the Spring and Autumn Period, and their descendants took Yang as their surname.

3. Originated from Jinwu Gongzi Boqiao. After the elimination of Yang in Jin Dynasty, Yang was named the food city of the doctor's tongue. The sheep's tongue comes from the surname Ji, because the grandson of Boqiao, the second son of Emperor Wu of Jin Dynasty, lived in the sheep's tongue at that time, so the sheep's tongue was taken as the surname. In the 12th year of Jin Qinggong (the first 5 14), my family was exterminated, and my son Yang Dao fled to Huashan, where he lived in Huayin, Hongnong, and took Yang, the ancestor's fief, as his surname. His descendants began to spread all over the country and became the mainstream of Yang's reproduction and development, which was called authentic in history.

Migration and communication

Yang's birthplace is in today's Shanxi Province. In the Spring and Autumn Period, Yang was destroyed by gold, and the surname Yang developed and spread westward. He first moved to Shaanxi, then moved to Huoxian county in the middle reaches of Fenshui River in Shanxi, and then spread to Henan. ?

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, some Yang people moved to Jianghan area (now Qianjiang area in Hubei Province). Later, due to the growing influence of Chu, they moved to Jiangxi in the southeast. At the same time, Yang people moved from Shanxi to Jiangsu and Anhui, scattered in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

During the Qin and Han Dynasties, Yang moved to Hanoi and Fengyi (now Dali, Shaanxi), which were widely distributed in the north of China. Yang entered Sichuan at this time, mostly from Hubei and Shaanxi.
