Compatibility of mequindox with common antibiotics
Mequindox, also known as pilijing, has a chemical name of 3? Methyl? 2? Acetyl? n? 1,4? Dioxyquinoxaline is a chemical antibacterial agent developed by Veterinary Research Institute of China Academy of Agricultural Sciences, which has the characteristics of broad antibacterial spectrum and strong antibacterial activity in vitro and in vivo. The following is my understanding of the compatibility of mequindox with commonly used antibiotics. Welcome to reading.

1. Introduction

Veterinary clinics are mainly used to treat pig dysentery and bacterial infections in the digestive tract of livestock and poultry. Mequindox also has a significant effect on yellow and white dysentery of piglets [1]. In the drug sensitivity test of common pathogenic bacteria of cow endometritis, the highly sensitive strain of Escherichia coli to mequindox is 90%, and the most sensitive strain of Staphylococcus aureus is 100%[2]. Alternating use of mequindox and cefalexin after birth can effectively prevent diarrhea in newborn calves [3]. Wu Lifu et al. reported that there was no incompatibility in drug properties (clarity, pH value, etc.) when mequindox injection was mixed with six kinds of Chinese herbal medicine extracts such as Sophora flavescens. ), but the bacteriostatic effect on toxic Escherichia coli varies. When mequindox is compatible with Sophora flavescens or Polygonum hydropiper extract, its antibacterial activity is antagonistic to each other, but it is synergistic when it is compatible with Fructus Forsythiae, Radix Paeoniae Alba or Celastrus orbiculatus extract, and it is twice as strong when it is compatible with Folium Isatidis extract [4]. Mequindox and furazolidone have synergistic effects on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus [2]. The combined application of mequindox and bacitracin zinc can effectively control the occurrence of swine dysentery and improve the feed utilization rate [5].

At present, there is no report on the stability of mequindox in vitro after compatibility with commonly used antibiotics.

2 discussion

The color of mequindox solution is light yellow, and it is still light yellow after being mixed with other drugs. From the color point of view, it can be considered that there is no chemical reaction, no new substance or colorless new substance.

After the compatibility of mequindox with various drugs, the pH value increased in different degrees at different times, but generally speaking, the pH value fluctuated in a small range within 8 hours after compatibility, indicating that the compatibility solution tends to be stable.

The absorbance of mequindox diluted solution at 254nm is 0.564. The absorbance of mequindox diluted solution has no obvious change within 8 hours after being compatible with penicillin G potassium, gentamycin sulfate, ribavirin and amantadine hydrochloride, and the absorption has no peak shift, so it can be used in clinic. Because many drugs have absorption at about 254nm, the absorbance after compatibility is superimposed in different degrees, but the fluctuation is not big, which shows that the compatibility solution is stable and the clinical compatibility application is feasible [8]. Whether the activity of antibiotics has changed or not needs further study in the future.

3 abstract

After the acemequine solution was mixed with enrofloxacin hydrochloride, penicillin G potassium, streptomycin sulfate, amoxicillin, gentamicin sulfate, tylosin tartrate, cefalexin, morpholine biguanide hydrochloride and ribavirin, the solution was light yellow, without precipitation and bubbles. The pH value and absorbance value of the solution before and after compatibility are small, and its physical and chemical properties are stable, so it can be used for clinical compatibility.
