Red and white radish cannot be stewed together with pork ribs, and carrots and white radish cannot be stewed together when stewing ribs. Boiling carrots and white radish together looks very nice in red and white, but it is actually not scientific. White radish has a very high vitamin C content, but carrots contain a decomposing enzyme called ascorbic acid, which will destroy the vitamin C in white radish.
