1. Take the frozen chestnuts out of the refrigerator, wash them in cold water, and then put them directly into the pot. Add a little water, and the chestnuts will instantly return to normal color. Don't wait for it to thaw. Thawed raw chestnuts are very unpalatable.
2. Put enough water in the pot to cover the chestnuts. After boiling, simmer for a few minutes, just enough to steam out the water and the chestnuts are ripe.
3. It is very easy to peel off the skin if you eat it while it is hot. Both layers of skin are easy to peel off. But if you wait until it cools down before eating it, the inner layer of skin will be difficult to peel off.
