(1) Repetition Memory Method
That is, repeated repetition to consolidate memory. The result of perceiving things repeatedly leaves a deep impression in one's cerebral cortex.
(2)Associative Memory
Using association is one of the effective ways to promote memory. "Prodigies are often characterized by their ability to make associations. Was awarded the international "Philia" medal of the poet Liu Qianqian's poem "please do not ask me why", is by the "little girl selling matches" image association and written. Many inventions and discoveries in science are also caused by association: Isaac Newton discovered the law of gravity when an apple fell to the ground, and Watt invented the steam engine by the impact of boiling water on the lid of a kettle.
(3) Visual Image Memory Method
Based on the visual image of memory characteristics, make full use of visual aids, can effectively help improve memory. Experiments have proved that the visual image memory method is one of the effective ways to improve people's memory. Famous scientists Wiener had a pile of toys as a child, such as small steam engines, small electric motors, kaleidoscopes, slide projectors and so on. In the process of playing with these toys, he gained a lot of superficial scientific knowledge, and this knowledge laid a good foundation for his future learning, and also stimulated his strong desire for knowledge, which eventually made him become a generation of scientific giants.
(4) Categorization and Memory
If memory is likened to a storehouse of knowledge, then only by categorizing knowledge can the storehouse maximize its storage capacity. Some people have used the categorization method to teach children to read and write, with good results. This is a way of utilizing the characteristics of the Chinese characters, using basic words to bring in the morphemes, e.g.: well, well; qing, please, qing, qing, qing, ching, jing, jing. This way the characters are not recognized piecemeal, but in strings, making it easy for the child to remember. Some people also use this method to categorize the English word shorthand tricks, practice has proved that these methods are effective.
(5) Multi-sensory participation in the memory method
Use of a variety of sensory organs (ears, eyes, mouth, hands) to participate in memory activities, can improve the effect of memory. Some people have done such a test: three methods to let three groups of subjects to memorize 10 paintings:
The first group: only tell what was painted.
Group 2: The subjects were shown the 10 drawings.
Group 3: Show the subjects the 10 pictures and at the same time tell them what is drawn in the pictures.
After a certain period of time, the subjects were tested on their memory. The results were as follows: the first group remembered 60%, the second group remembered 70%, and the third group remembered 86%. It can be seen that the use of multiple sense organs involved in memory activities, can greatly improve the effect of memory.
