The tussah chrysalis is the pupa of the tussah silkworm of the Cecropidae family. It is mainly distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Shaanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Anhui, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places. Its functions are to produce body fluids and quench thirst, eliminate food and regulate qi, and relieve spasm. Indications: treatment of diabetes; spleen and stomach qi stagnation syndrome; twitching of the hands and feet caused by liver wind, epilepsy, and convulsions.
