Daylily is the lily family, daylily genus of plants, it is also called goldenseal, deer onion, Sichuan grass flower, yellow cauliflower and so on. Iris is a plant of the family Iridaceae, genus Iris, and its leaves are a bit wider than the former, measuring about 15-50cm or so in length and about 1.5-3.5cm or so in width, with no obvious midrib in the center.
Second, the flowers are different
Daylily flowers have 6 perianths around, and these 6 perianths are almost the same size, more like the look of lilies, the color of the flowers is orange-yellow, blooming in the summer in May-July.
Iris is also surrounded by 6 perianths, but the size is different, the inner one is smaller, the outer one is bigger and hangs down, as if it were a small butterfly, it blooms in April-May and the color of the flowers is purple.
Third, the fruit is different
Daylily fruit is round, but a single relatively small, the latter is very obvious can be distinguished.
Iris fruit is not so round, usually oval, but a single fruit is relatively large.
