1. Sowing: In the season when broccoli seeds are mature, select high-quality and robust plants to collect seeds. After the seeds are collected, the exocarp and impurities are removed, screened and placed in a cool place. Sowing time is from late April to early May. After soil preparation and bed making, drill and ditch with a depth of 4 cm. After sowing, cover the seedbed with fine soil, compact it, shade it, then water it, and spray water with a fine nozzle to avoid exposing the seeds from the bed surface due to watering. About 15 days after sowing, the seedlings will grow completely. After all seedlings are produced, the management of water and fertilizer in seedbed should be strengthened.
2 Cutting: Choose a cloudy day in summer, choose robust plants, and use the semi-lignified high-quality branches of that year as cuttings, the length of which is about 15cm, and put them into water immediately after cutting. Make a bed. The bed is 40 cm high and 80 cm wide. After the bed is completed, disinfect the bed surface, choose rainy days, plant spacing 10 cm, and the depth of cutting into the ground shall be subject to the emergence of bud eyes. Compaction, shading, watering and water permeability after insertion, and always keep the soil on the bed surface moist in the future. Softwood cutting can also be used in rainy season, and the survival rate is also very high.
3 layering: layering propagation is best carried out after flowering, and strong lower branches are selected after flowering. The lower branches of broccoli are prone to crawl, so they are pressed into the soil for layered propagation in the growing season, and the branches are easy to take root and grow into new plants.
4 rameting: rameting is carried out in early spring and autumn and winter. It is usually combined with transplanting before the plants germinate in spring. Dig out the whole plant, then divide the plant, prepare the soil and fertilize the feet. Farmhouse manure is the best, and plants are divided according to 15cm row spacing. After that, before the plant survives, it should be watered to keep the soil moist.
