Because there are many empty reeds, it is necessary to choose them by wind first, and then by water. Put the seeds selected by wind into a jar and soak them in water, and stir them with a stick. The soaking time should not be too long. After a day and a night at most, take it out and drain it, put it in a sack and store it in a dry and ventilated place. Water-selected seeds can be stored indoors after drying. Generally, the seeds selected by water will be stored indoors for about 2 ~ 3 years, which will not reduce the germination rate.

Two seeds germinate rapidly.

Before sowing, the seeds are soaked in warm water at 45℃ to accelerate germination. When the water temperature drops to 20℃, the stirring is stopped, and the same amount of cold water is added to prevent the heat absorbed by the seeds from radiating, so that the seeds can be taken out after being soaked in the jar for a day and night, and put into a cattail bag, which is beneficial to ploughing. Spray water 4-5 times a day, once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once up and down to promote turning over in a humid environment.

Third sowing

Platycladus orientalis is generally raised on high ridges or ridges, and the bottom water should be irrigated before sowing. Then push the seeds by hand or dig ditches by hand. Ridge sowing when sowing: the width of ridge bottom is 60 cm, the width of ridge surface is 30 cm, and the ridge height is 12- 15 cm. ? Each ridge can be sown in two rows or single row, with the width of two rows being 5 cm and the width of single row being 12- 15 cm. When sowing, the length of the border is generally 10-20m, the width is 1m, and the height is 15cm, with 3-5 rows of vertical (along the border) sowing, and the sowing width is 5- 10c m. Horizontal drilling, sowing width 3-5cm, row spacing10cm. When sowing, the ditching depth should be uniform and the planting should be uniform. Cover the soil 1- 1.5 cm in time after sowing. And then pressing, so that the seeds are closely connected with the soil, which is beneficial to seed germination. In arid and windy areas, in order to keep soil moisture, grass can be used to cover the soil when conditions permit.
