According to the rural aquaculture network, domestic salmon farming is mainly in Heilongjiang, Wusuli and the upper reaches of Songhua River.
The larger salmon farms in China are located in Longyangxia Reservoir in * * * County, Qinghai Province, and other relatively famous ones like Dongjiang Lake Reservoir in Hunan Province and near Huaihua, Beijing. Longyangxia Reservoir in * * County, Qinghai Province is the first gorge where the Yellow River flows through the Qinghai prairie and enters the Yellow River Canyon. The dam locks the Yellow River, and the high gorge flows out of Pinghu. Under this 383-square-kilometer water area, there is the highest and largest salmon farm in China. Salmon is a cold-water fish, which lives in higher latitudes. Abroad, the main producing areas of salmon are Japan, Russia, Norway, the United States and Canada.
