First, land selection and leveling.
You must first choose a good place to grow peas. Because the root system of this plant is very developed, it is drought-tolerant but not waterlogging-tolerant, so it must be planted in a dry environment. Deep and well-drained soil can also prevent the roots from being flooded, which is very helpful for their breathing. In addition, whether the soil is fertile or not also plays a vital role in the development of plants.
Second, sowing time.
The sowing date of peas in different regions is different. The Yangtze River is sown in spring in most parts of Peking University, usually in March-April and harvested in July-August. Sowing in autumn in the area south of the Yangtze River should be done in June10-165438+10, and the harvest should wait until April-May of the following year.
Thirdly, soaking seeds to accelerate germination.
Peas need to germinate before sowing. First, soak the seeds in 40% salt water to remove the withered or moth-eaten seeds, then wash the remaining seeds with clear water and wrap them in gauze, and spray water every day to moisten them. When the seeds turn white, you can open the gauze and put it in an environment of 2℃, and it will germinate in about 15 days.
Fourth, sow.
Peas are generally sown by the on-demand method, with 2-6 seeds per hole and a spacing of 10-20cm. After sowing, cover the soil with a thickness of 5-6 cm, or even thicker if the climate is dry. When the seedlings grow to 8- 10 cm high and have 2-4 leaves, they can be transplanted.
