The establishment of World Food Day is mainly to cope with the fact that the world's total grain output is decreasing day by day. In the middle of the 20th century, the grain production technology of various countries was relatively backward, and the grain output was small. In case of climate disaster, the grain harvest would be poor, or even the grain harvest would not be available, which led to people's inability to solve the problem of food and clothing. The World Food and Agriculture Organization discovered this problem and made an appeal at the United Nations General Assembly, hoping that people in all countries would attach importance to food production, increase food production, introduce new technologies and solve the problem of regional hunger. Once again, World Food Day was established.
