Bama Fragrant Pig, a specialty of Bama Yao Autonomous County, Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a national geographical indication product of China.
The Bama scented pig comes from the local native pig, which is said to be domesticated from wild boar, and the Bama people call it "winter melon pig", "banana pig", or "two-headed Wu". Because of its fine bone skin crispy, tender meat, muscle bright red, taste sweet, rich in nutrients, like the mountain treasures and wild game, and therefore the outsiders to eat the very fresh and fragrant, by passing the name of the "fragrant pig". Bama fragrant pig cooking without adding any spices is also fragrant, known as "a family cooking meat four neighbors incense, seven miles away from the smell of its flavor" of the name, known as the pig class "noble family".
