Planting methods and key points of cowpea

1, accelerate germination

Cowpea itself has a relatively high germination rate and generally does not need to accelerate germination. If you must accelerate germination, you can soak the seeds in water to let them fully absorb water.

Then, we took it out, washed off the mucus on the surface, wrapped it in clean wet gauze, and put it in an environment with a temperature of about 25-28℃, and it germinated in 1-2 days.

Step 2 sow seeds

Put the seeds of cowpea into the dug pit, generally 30-32 cm apart, and put 3-4 seeds in it. Then cover it with 3 cm of soil and water it properly. When it grows leaves, it will set up vines.

Matters needing attention in cowpea management

Cowpea growth needs a lot of nutrients, so it must use fertile soil, its roots are not tolerant of waterlogging. In addition to fertility, we should also consider air permeability, so as to deal with the accumulated water in the soil.
