How to make litsea oil?
Choose fresh litsea cubeba, the taste will be better.
Cut off branches and leaves, wash and drain.
Pour vegetable oil into a small pot, turn the heat to low heat, add litsea cubeba and salt, stir well, turn off the heat when you see the oil bubbling, cool it and put it in a clean glass bottle for sealing and preservation.
Seasoned version: Add minced garlic and Chili powder to make litsea cubeba oil, which is more suitable for mixing cold dishes and noodles.
Because my husband hates Chili seeds in coarse Chili powder, he uses fine Chili powder, so he should put them later to avoid burning.
