My thoughts on reading "All the Way Forward" and "Inject Your Heart"
I am 31 years old and I have been drinking coffee every day for 12 years. There are often various social media posts in the circle of friends, including various coffee shops or Starbucks. For social media friends, drinking coffee is an elegant, bourgeois or fashionable thing. However, the reason why I like coffee is really difficult to describe. My first job was related to it, at the headquarters of Shangdao Coffee. In three years, I went from the grassroots level to the regional director, and I have so many wonderful memories. So, if you really need a reason, let it be feelings.
When I joined the company in 2008, I read the book "Pour Your Heart In" by Mr. Howard Schultz, the founder of Starbucks. Later, his "Moving Forward" also once included He takes Starbucks as the object of analysis and the object of study.
Schultz was born on July 19, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York, where he witnessed too many gaps between rich and poor. During his childhood, Schulz lived in poverty. He once mentioned that this growth experience can be regarded as the other side of his life trajectory. Today, he oversees Starbucks, the world's largest coffee chain and one of the most beloved brands in the world. In 2015, Starbucks' total revenue reached US$19 billion and profit was US$2.8 billion, both reaching record highs.
The two books "Moving Forward" and "Inject Your Heart" are like autobiography and memoirs. Introducing every detail of Starbucks’ journey. What impressed me deeply was his passion, persistence and pursuit of his own career, walking and moving forward all the way.
What goes beyond a career is that he regards Starbucks as his dream and belief. His pure persistence and persistence far exceed the concern for profits and career status. As a result, his third space, Starbucks’ coffee space concept, blossomed everywhere. . .
In these two books, I don’t see any hint of successful learning. I just saw a living story, a story about a man's dream from the beginning to its growth, with a clear sense of picture and vivid presentation. The eyes and smile in the cover photo show that he is very happy and pure.
Because of the three stages, I read it again. It seems that one is the main history of the fortune, and the other focuses on Howard's return at the end. I also like the titles and covers of the two books very much. The minimalist slogans and guidance, Onward, Pour your heart into it. How wonderful
If you could remain calm and composed when everyone is confused and don't follow what others say;
If you could be confident and act as usual when everyone is suspicious of you and not make rash arguments;
If you can still jog leisurely when everyone is criticizing,
then the world is yours, and everything is in your broad mind
