The opium fish head is an opium fish.

The opium fish is a class of bony fishes, family Turbidae, which is a class of flounder. The body of the opossum fish is laterally compressed, asymmetrical, with both eyes on the left side; the mouth is anteriorly positioned, with a protruding lower jaw; the edges of the anterior gill cover bones are free; the skin on the side with the eyes is a dark gray color or has patchy lines, and the skin on the side without the eyes is white.

Opium fish can mainly be used as fresh food or made into canned and salted dried products, the fish liver can be extracted from the production of cod liver oil. Opium fish in the flounder species is China's Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea valuable fish, and other varieties of flounder is the same season to meet the flavor of the seasonal dishes dishes, made out of brightly colored dishes, spicy and fat. Morphological features:

The fish body is very long, slightly flattened, rounded abdomen. The front part of the head is elongated and slightly tubular, and the end of the muzzle is flattened like a duck's beak. The mouth is superior, the lower jaw is inclined upward and longer than the upper jaw, and the end of the maxilla reaches below the anterior margin of the eye. Eyes equal in size, closer to muzzle end, protruding to both sides, cheeks very wide, postocular head length 2 to 2.5 times muzzle length. Hypopharyngeal teeth in 1 line, slender. Scales minute, lateral line slightly curved toward ventral surface; lateral line scales 140 to 170.

Dorsal fin III 8, without hard spines, starting after ventral fin. Anal fin III 9 to 11. Caudal fin y forked, lower lobe tips longer than upper. Dorsal dark gray, abdominal and lower half of sides silvery white, pectoral fins reddish, dorsal and caudal fins gray, ventral and anal fins grayish, caudal fin posterior margin black, above the lateral line there is a slightly black longitudinal stripe. It is a large and ferocious fish in rivers.
