Zegui jujube originated in xinzheng city, Henan Province, and later spread to all parts of the country. The main producing areas are Ruoqiang county and Aksu area in Xinjiang.
Xinjiang has long sunshine time, dry climate, long photosynthesis time for jujube growth and more sugar after transpiration, so it tastes sweeter than ordinary jujube.
