Atherosclerosis is a common disease, most of which is not serious. If there is insufficient blood supply to the tissues in severely narrowed arteries, it may have serious consequences. With the increase of age, patients may have arteriosclerosis, which is actually the process of arterial aging. The aging speed varies from person to person, and some blood pressure, blood lipid and blood sugar are not well controlled. Patients with smoking habits may have faster progression of arteriosclerosis.

If arteriosclerosis and plaque hyperplasia are serious, leading to vascular stenosis or blockage, arterial blood supply organs appear ischemic symptoms, such as cerebral ischemia may cause stroke, and cardiac ischemia may cause myocardial infarction, which is a serious atherosclerotic disease.
