What is Gin?
GIN (gin), also known as "gin" or "gin", is the first kind of spirits made for special purposes by human beings. Gin's hometown is in the Netherlands. It originated in 166 and was first invented by a Dutch university professor Sylvius. Its purpose is to prevent Dutch people from contracting tropical diseases. It was originally used as a diuretic and heat-clearing agent. It was not long before people found that this diuretic had a harmonious aroma, harmonious taste, mellow and Wen Ya, a clean body, a clean and refreshing natural style, and was soon drunk as a formal alcoholic beverage. The pleasant aroma of Gin mainly comes from juniper with diuretic effect. There are many ways to add juniper. Generally, it is wrapped in gauze and hung at the outlet of the distiller. When steaming wine, its flavor will be strung in the wine, or juniper will be soaked in absolutely neutral alcohol, and then refluxed and re-steamed one week later to steam its flavor in the wine. Sometimes, juniper can be crushed into small pieces, added to brewing materials, saccharified, fermented and distilled to get its taste. Some countries and wineries cooperate with other spices to brew Gin, such as coriander, cardamom, licorice and orange peel. And the exact formula, manufacturers have always been very confidential.

Later, it was introduced to the United States, and was widely used in the preparation of cocktails. At present, Gin mainly uses grains as raw materials, which are saccharified, fermented and distilled into high alcohol, then juniper, lemon peel, cinnamon and other raw materials are added, and then the second distillation is carried out to form Gin.

Gin is widely used in the wine spectrum of cocktails. Most of the ingredients of some famous cocktails cannot be separated from Gin, for example, the world-famous [Martini] is. Because Gin contains high-content junipers, it is very popular in Taiwan Province in recent years to prevent arthritis by soaking white raisins in Gin, which is said to have a very good effect.

The recipe for making Gin in Britain is to use 75% corn, 15% barley malt and 1% other grains, then smash, heat and ferment, which is similar to making whiskey. The fully fermented grain juice is distilled by a continuous distiller, and the distilled wine contains 18 to 188 alcohol PROOF, which is reduced to 12 with distilled water. Then add spices in Gin distiller and steam. The method of obtaining wine flavor by distillation is an art of making Gin, and Gin with different flavors is also due to the relationship between its material types and components.

Old Tom Gin

Old Tom is a sweet Gin made in London, and there are several legends about this wine. Among them, the one recorded by LORDKINROSS in his book is more logical. He believes that old Tom was a spy of the British government. He rented a house in London, nailed a cat-shaped signboard to sell wine, and two pipes connected his house. When a pedestrian wants to buy wine, he can throw the money into the thick tube in the cat's mouth above and mumble something. Then he pours the wine out from the thin tube below, and the buyer drinks into the tube. This may also be the ancestor of the automatic vending machine.

AMERICAN GIN in Gin, USA is slightly different from Gin, London, but both kinds of wine can be made into good mixed drinks.

HOLLAND Gin Holland Gin or (DUTCH

GIN. Although it has been aged, it is not indicated on the trademark. If it's a yellowish Gin made in Holland, it's all dyed with caramel. The most popular Gin cocktail is the Martini cocktail, but it is only one of hundreds of Gin cocktail recipes.
