Ma Yun was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on September 1th, 1964. Ma Yun's grandfather was a Bao Chang during the Anti-Japanese War. After liberation, he was classified as "Black Five" and named as "Ma Yun", in the hope that Ma Yun would be clever and sensible in the future, and less trouble.
At the age of p>12, Ma Yun bought a pocket radio and listened to English broadcasts every day. He became interested in English. At the age of 13, Ma Yun was forced to transfer to Hangzhou No.8 Middle School because he had too many fights. After that, Ma Yun took part in the senior high school entrance examination, and it took him two years to get into an extremely ordinary high school, one of which scored only 31 points in mathematics.
In p>1982, Ma Yun took the college entrance examination for the first time and failed the list for the first time. He only got 1 point in mathematics. Ma Yun was full of frustration. Later, he and his cousin went to a hotel to apply for a waiter. As a result, his cousin was hired and he was rejected. The reason given by the boss was that Ma Yun was thin, short and ugly. Later, Ma Yun worked as a secretary and porter. When Ma Yun failed in the college entrance examination, his father, Ma Laifa, saw that he was depressed and asked him to send books to the magazine in three rounds.
