Yogurt can be stored for 2-3 days under unopened condition, normal temperature (about 25 degrees) and marked shelf life. However, storing yogurt at room temperature will not only fail to preserve nutrition, but also greatly shorten the shelf life of yogurt, accelerate deterioration, and is likely to damage health.
If yogurt is not consumed immediately, it is recommended that it be stored in the refrigerator. The shelf life is about two to three weeks at a temperature between 2 and 6 degrees Celsius.
yogurt
Yogurt is a kind of milk drink with sweet and sour taste. It is a milk product that takes milk as raw material, adds beneficial bacteria (starter) to milk after pasteurization, ferments, and then cools and fills. Yogurt products in the market are mostly solidified, stirred and fruity with various fruit juices and jams.
Historical evidence shows that yogurt has been used as food for at least 4500 years. The earliest yogurt may be that the milk packed in sheepskin bags by nomadic people was naturally fermented by bacteria attached to the bags and became cheese.
More than 2,000 years ago BC, the ancient Thracians who lived in northeastern Greece and Bulgaria also mastered the technology of making yogurt. They used goat's milk at first. Later, yogurt technology was spread to other parts of Europe by the ancient Greeks.
