1. Don't eat more
Fresh day lily contains a kind of colchicine, which is nontoxic in itself, but it is oxidized into "colchicine" after being absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, which is highly toxic. So when eating fresh products, don't eat more every time.
2. Soak before eating
