Heat the oil a little first, then pour the sodium hydroxide into the water. When the temperature of the oil drops to about 50 degrees Celsius respectively, slowly pour the sodium hydroxide solution into the oil, and keep stirring for about 40 minutes to fully saponify the oil. When the mixed liquid becomes viscous, pour it into a prepared oiled mold, cover it with a towel and leave it for 2-3 days (pay attention to putting it indoors in winter), and then demould and cut into pieces when the soap is hard. After that, it can be used for 6~8 weeks until it is completely saponified.
The main reason is that the waiting time in the middle is longer, but it is still a sense of accomplishment when used ~
What's the difference? The raw materials of ordinary soap on the market will be worse. Cheap mineral oil will be used, and acidic substances will be added to quickly reduce the pH value.
The main ingredients of homemade handmade soap are vegetable oil, water and sodium hydroxide. Chemical synthetic spices or surfactants will not be added, which has relatively low irritation to the skin. Moreover, natural glycerin will be produced after saponification of vegetable oil, and the washed skin will be very moist.
