Mackerel (scientific name: Mylopharyngodonpiceus) is a fish of the family Carpidae, genus Mackerel. The body length can reach 145 centimeters. The body length is 3.3-4.1 times the height of the body and 3.5-4.4 times the length of the head. The body is stout, nearly cylindrical, with a rounded abdomen and no ventral ribs. The dorsal fin is located above the ventral fin, without hard spines and with a flat outer edge. The body is greenish gray, darker on the back, grayish white on the abdomen, and the fins are black. Individuals are large, up to more than 70 kilograms.
