Shangri-La, which means the sun and moon in the heart in Tibetan, is the capital of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, located in the northwest of Yunnan Province and in the hinterland of Hengduan Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
