How to collect distilled water correctly with chemical equipment
Experimental equipment: test tube, beaker, bent glass conduit, alcohol lamp, iron shelf, asbestos net, single-hole rubber plug and rubber tube.

Experimental drugs: tap water, zeolite or broken porcelain (explosion-proof boiling).

Experimental steps:

① Connect the experimental device as shown in the figure.

(2) add water to the distillation flask and a few pieces of broken porcelain.

(3) start heating, cold water is introduced into the condenser tube, and attention is paid to going up and down.

(4) When the thermometer reading reaches 100℃ (the boiling point of water) and the water from the horn tube starts to drip evenly, it will be collected.

⑤ Remove the conical flask after collection and stop heating.

In this way, distilled water was successfully prepared and collected.

Precautions:

① The tap water volume is in the distillation flask 1/3-2/3.

(2) mat asbestos net.

③ Adding zeolite (to prevent boiling).

④ The thermometer is at the branch pipe of distillation flask.

⑤ Cold water in condenser tube is from bottom to top.
