Steps/methods 1 Dig the cover first: It is best not to dig it into a circle, because it is difficult to align the round cover with the cover opening when it is put back, and it should be dug into a pentagon (5 sides) or a hexagon (6 sides).

5. Stick the pattern on the side of the pumpkin to be carved.
