Steps
1. Wash the bitter melon, remove the pith, and cut into thin slices.
2. Boil water in a pot, add salt and a few drops of oil and blanch the bitter melon.
3. Fish the blanched bitter melon directly into ice water
4. Rinse and drain.
5. Add sugar, white vinegar and crushed garlic. Mix well.
6. Add diced hawthorn cake on the bitter melon to garnish.
