The characteristic of lantern fish is that it feeds on the dark seabed. Different from other fish, it relies on its special luminous organ hanging in front of its mouth as bait to hunt. The head length is 3.0 ~ 4.5 times of the kiss length, and the eye diameter is 1 1.2 ~ 17.7 times. The body is scaleless, densely covered with long soft capillaries, and the skin is thick. The head, body and fins are all black, the mouth is black, and only the end of the bait is white.
